Dennis Prince, MSc., P.Eng.

CEO & Founder

Dennis Prince is the inventor of the Airdar technology and the CEO of Airdar Inc. With 25 years of experience in emissions monitoring, Dennis has led numerous projects to remove uncertainty around emission-related problems.

Dennis obtained a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering in 1993 from the University of Alberta. His experience includes 8 years working as an environmental consultant, during which time he led the development of a personal monitor capable of measuring hydrogen sulfide in the low ppb range. In 2003, Dennis realized that he could use ambient air concentration data to visualize plumes of airborne compounds and track them back to their sources. Since then, his focus has been on developing Airdar to help industry resolve emission problems to protect the environment and the people in it.

Larry Spackman, MBA, P.Eng.

Director of Health & Safety

G. Lawrence (Larry) Spackman was President of TransCanada Energy Ltd. from 1998 until 2000, President of TransCanada Power L. P. from 1997 until 1999, and President of Northridge Gas Marketing Inc. from 1992 until 1996.  He served on the Natural Gas Advisory Committee of the New York Mercantile Exchange from 1992 until 2000.

In 1975, Larry received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He was designated a professional engineer by APEGA. In 1986 he received a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Calgary. 

Larry currently serves as a director on a number of boards. 

Claudia P. Zuluaga G.

Director of Digital Business Strategies

Claudia is the founder of The Future is 50/50 and serves as a board member in several companies. For over 22 years, Claudia has advised multinationals in different sectors and across the world focusing on the transformation of organizations through Digital Strategies and Disruptive Innovation.

As a former Royal Dutch Shell Principal Digital Product Manager, she directed major global projects from management consulting firms such as Boston Consulting Group and McKinsey. Claudia directed Shell’s Predictive Maintenance (PdM) Artificial Intelligence Strategy which caught the attention of international media and investors. In October 2020, the Shell PdM Artificial Intelligence global program received the Constellation Supernova Award in the "Data to Decisions" category.

Martin P.J. Kratz, Q.C.

Director of Governance

Martin Kratz is a professor, author, and retired senior technology and intellectual property lawyer. Martin led the intellectual property and technology practices for Bennett Jones LLP.  Among numerous recognitions, Martin was identified as one of Canada’s most creative lawyers by LEXPERT-Thomson in the US Guide to Canada’s 100 Most Creative Lawyers.

Martin is the co-director of the Osgoode Hall Law School's Intellectual Property LLM program where he also teaches courses there and in Concordia University of Edmonton's Information Security and Assurance Master’s program.

Martin has extensive board experience, having served as chair, in a governance committee role and as a director on numerous boards. Several directorships for research intensive corporations include Neurospheres Ltd. and Telecommunication Research Laboratories. Martin has also served on 5 charitable boards including as chair of the Parkinson Association of Alberta, as national vice chair, regional chair of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, and as chair of TELUS Spark.

Wendell Shumway, MBA

Director of Finance

Wendell Shumway has over 25 years of leadership experience in various finance and accounting management roles.  Currently, Wendell serves as Vice President Segment Controller for Nine Energy Service, Inc.

Previously, Wendell worked as Corporate Vice President of FP&A at AECOM and as Vice President of Finance for both the Well Services and the USA Drilling divisions during his nine year tenure at Nabors Industries, Ltd. Earlier in his career, Wendell spent close to a decade with Schlumberger Ltd. (SLB) where he worked both domestically and internationally in various finance and accounting roles. These roles included North and South America Business Analyst (Wireline and Testing), Ecuador Country Controller, in which he financially managed all of SLB’s oilfield service businesses, and SLB’s Canada Country Controller for WesternGeco.
